I created my very first how-to video some time ago and decided to share it here. In the video I explain the Quickest way to burn fat without losing muscle. You can watch it on my youtube channel by clicking here.
If you are an athlete of any kind and compete against other people and need to perform at your peak this is not for you. But if you compete against yourself and your goal is to burn fat fast as fuck, this is the way to go.
The concept is very simple, cut your carbs out and don’t complain about it. Carbohydrates is stored as glycogen and glycogen will convert into glucose which is the body’s first source for energy, and the fat cells will then remain intact and unused. So how do you deplete the glycogen? Stop eating carbs. That’s it. If you don’t eat carbs, there is no glycogen and the body turns to fat for energy.
Brandon Carter, the author of ultimate cuts, even goes as far as saying you can eat as much as you want and still lose weight as long as you stick to protein and vegetables. And no you can’t eat fruits because they are basically carbs with fructose and water. And don’t start complaining that veggies is gross and you don’t like them because no one gives a fuck. The only thing people care about is results, and you will achieve damn phenomenal results if you cut your carbs out. You will probably struggle and you might not like everything about it, but without struggle there is no progress. Struggle is the sign of improvement.
However for this approach to be successful, you need to have a cheat day. That’s right, you need one day every week where you say fuck it and eat whatever you feel like, including carbs. Especially carbs.
This is because when your glycogen becomes depleted for too long, the fat burning slows down due to a another hormone called leptin. Leptin is kind of “anti-starvation hormone” and is responsible for a number of mechanisms related to fat loss.
If you can combine this way of eating with high intensity interval training, you will lose weight at a ridiculous rate. High intensity interval training, more known as HIIT is a fairly new type of training which only requires you to work out for about 10-15 minutes each time.
A study from Laval University in Quebec, Canada found that HIIT helped trainees lose nine times more fat than those who did traditional way of training for 20-60 minutes. The reason HIIT is so successful is because you burn more calories when you work at a high intensity. And the best thing about it is that it will keep your metabolism elevated long after you’re done working out and you will continue to burn calories for up to 24 hours after you’ve completed the workout.
Combine HIIT workout with cutting carbs and you’ve got the quickest way to get ripped and shed of that extra fat flopping around. You can get Brandon Carters Book on Amazon here.
